An engineer is one who makes our day to day life easy by converting his imagination into reality. His success is accompanied with lots of responsibilities in his career. 

The one who wants to work in core industry or working in core industry should know his key responsibilities. Core industries are the industries whose products are essential for the economy of country & for other industries as well. For example electricity, coal, petroleum, crude oil, steel, cement, etc.

Once you are into it, you will be assigned with tasks or projects which is an individual or group activity to achieve particular goal. One should be able to work independently as well as a team member.

When working on a project following are the things to remember-

•  As an individual, primary role is to understand the process & its interlocks with other departments to meet the system requirements. This will help to avoid data loss.

• Maximum project data supervision & acquisition from single point

• To prepare plan of action & execution in timeline.

• To develop logic & imagination for project execution.

• To keep records of all important events for future reference.

• One may not be perfect in his first attempt of project execution hence exact fault detection & rectification in minimum time span is important.

• To analyze the critical situation & to keep positive approach to resolve it & understand area of improvement.

• Define the role in team for better output.

• There may be ups & downs during the completion of project. Hence support, co-ordination & motivation to team members are important. After all it’s all about give & takes.

So as an engineer, it’s our responsibility to contribute for the development of self, project team, company & to the nation.
